The Mongoose edition of Traveller is pretty fantastic. As an RPG that is both fun and pragmatic, I really appreciate it. I’ve run one game of it and played in a few one-shots. I’m keen to run the game again as my campaign petered out somewhat as our group drifted apart due to occurrences that occurred. As we learned from Jurassic Park, life finds a way… to really get in the way of our RPG campaigns.
But hey, Traveller is great and Humble Bundle currently has a bunch of Traveller books available in a bundle!
The bundle has three tiers, ranging from less than £1 for 2 items, up to about £14 for 16 items. The value here is amazing, and the full contents of the bundle can be seen below:

First of all, it’s great to actually see an RPG bundle from Humble Bundle that includes the core rules at a low price point. Humble Bundle have been pretty terrible at Bundle construction for a while, but this one gives us the cut-down Explorer’s Edition and an adventure for less than £1, which represents a great, low-cost entry point for new players.
Increasing your pledge to around £8 will get you the core rulebook. Specifically, it gets you the 2022 update, gathering errata, rules updates and the like into a revised book. The is a really great rulebook, with good art, good layout work, and allowing you to play a truly fantastic RPG. Mongoose did a great job with this. To me, this is the level most people should pledge for, as they do need this book. There are also a load more adventures and a novel in this tier. The adventures are really for people looking to GM (or referee, in Traveller’s parlance) their own game, of course.

The final tier is where the fantastic value of this bundle becomes evident. At this point, you get the Pirate of Drinax boxed set (comprising 3 books), along with the Drinaxian Companion and a further Drinax campaign in Shadows of Sindal. This boxed set is amazing. I love my one, and there’s a ton of content in here.
Add to this, some really useful supplements. The Central Supply Catalogue and Field Catalogue gives a ton of items and weapons for players. These inventory books really flesh out the game and open up a lot of options. Finally, Glorious Empire is a campaign setting book for an Aslan-controlled area of the Trojan Reach. Yes, the Aslan are space lions.
This is a great bundle, and I’d really commit to getting the whole thing. You’re paying less than £15 for a huge amount of content, including some of the best campaign material you’re going to find in this game line. Get this bundle! Recommend! Recommend, hard!
