Another late-year addition to the painted pile, I finished up a Swampcalla Shaman and Pot-Grot the other night. They’ve been on the slate for a while and, really, I could do with painted up a second one as well. I’ll get to it at some point.
It’s funny, but I do seem, over time, to be slowly building a Kruleboyz army model by model. This is the first one that I’ve painted that wasn’t actually for another project. My Breaka-Boss and Sloggoth were both painted to alongside my Troggoths, whilst my Boltboyz and Killbow were to be fielded alongside some Gargants.
This guy is just for the Kruleboyz! I should probably just paint up an army of the ladz at some point.
He turned out fine. He wasn’t too much of a pain to paint, but the wee lad with him was a bit awkward. I really like how that vivid green pops. I think that when I come to paint my second Swampcalla Shaman, I’ll differentiate him by going for different colour for his poison. Pink, perhaps?
