Having looked at them during the past couple of Wednesdays, I’ve managed to finish building a few Chaos Knights. I like kitbashing, so these were a lot of fun to put together. The idea of painting them is somewhat more daunting…
First up, I went with the Rampager. I thought he’d be the easiest. He wasn’t:

A lot of greenstuff work went into him, and the saw was used heavily. The muscle tree from Warcry is made of some pretty thick plastic! I do have plans for a second Rampager…
The next Knight I completed was this Desecrator, based on the Glottkin:

This poor miniature had an arm and a leg hacked off and replaced by cybernetic enhancements. I then shoved a cannon up his other armhole. I printed off some armour to give him a carapace and called it a day.
The arm and leg were then donated to this Knight Abominant:

In addition to his arm and leg replacements, I also swapped in a head from the Maggoth Lords. The tentacle arm seemed like the most obvious replacement for the mechanical tentacles the stock model has.
Finally, to lead the lads, I put together a Tyrant:

Now, as I’ve explained elsewhere, there isn’t a Knight Tyrant kit. You need to use the Imperial Knight Dominus kit. That’s fine, but I wanted it to look suitable Nurgley, like the rest of my force. I printed up a set of replacement armour for the Tyrant and used a mask from the Chaos Knight kit.I think he turned out alright.
Next up, I’m going to get these models primed and perhaps start building some War Dogs.
