Weather in My Ribs: Dyslexia, Stigma, and the Things We Call Disqualifying

I work with a lot of really fantastic kids, many of whom are dyslexic. I’d say I’ve spent a decade and a half becoming very well-informed about dyslexia. It was, therefore, really disheartening to see prominent political leaders punching down on dyslexics, claiming them to be unfit for public office.

I had thoughts.

I had thoughts on how dyslexia should be less disqualifying than a propensity for casual cruelty. I shared those thoughts:
