Our club’s Commander typal challenge is finished! We extended the finish date by a month as people were struggling to get their last few games in. That extension is now over, and we’ve got our podium:
Our first place winner was playing Ashling, the Limitless with a deck that proved to have very few limits. I took second place with my Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm deck. Our third place finisher brought a vampirey-demony deck that hit like a truck, led by Clavileño, First of the Blessed.
The first and second place decks were actually pretty similar. Both relied heavily on ETB effects for damage and utility. I’ve previously written about my Miirym deck.
I also put up a little prize for first place. Nothing ridiculous, just a wee rainbow foil Coat of Arms:
It seemed an appropriate prize for a typal event! I’ll catch the winner at club this week and hand it over.
We’re not jumping straight into a new league or challenge, but might schedule another later in the year.
