It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop opens preorders for the 11th edition starter set for Warhammer 40,000 – As another new edition of Warhammer 40,000 rolls around, we’ve got another new starter box. Being the War for Armageddon, it does, of course, feature Orks:

Yeah, why not? I’m grabbing a copy. I’ll trade away the Space Marines for more Orks. It’s a nice set. Will I actually play it? Who knows! The two sets of Orks will also completely set back my target of buying less than I paint…

BANDAI is taking preorders on Gundam Assemble Starter Set 01 (ST01) – Oh, this is a big release! I’ve got folk at club who will be all over this. The Gundam Assemble Starter Set 01 (ST01) is the perfect on‑ramp into Bandai’s new tactical minis game, pairing iconic mobile suits with streamlined rules and everything two players need to hit the table fast. It’s a tight, accessible launch box that shows off the system’s fast turns, crisp sculpts, and classic Universal Century flavour.

With pre‑assembled units, scenario play, and a ruleset built for quick, decisive skirmishes, ST01 delivers a complete head‑to‑head experience straight out of the box. It’s a sharp starter for anyone wanting to dive into Gundam tabletop battles without a huge amount of hobby overhead.

Synapses Games to release a third main set for Compile – Compile is a fun, lane-battling card game that I need to get back to the table. I’ve only managed to play it twice, and I think some further play is needed to really get a handle on it. In the meantime, the third set is coming out:

As we’ve come to expect, there are a bunch of new protocols (12), with everything being fully compatible with previous sets. One of the biggest new additions is the inclusion of a solo mode. These seem to be popular additions to lots of games these days.

Arc Dream Publishing releases Delta Green: The Millennium – The 320-page book details the desperate, dying days of the 20th century as the grand conspiracy of Delta Green fights cosmic horrors and shadowy cabals at the turn of the millennium.

It’s an apocalyptic sourcebook for the Delta Green tabletop role-playing game, published by Arc Dream Publishing. It is mostly an updated, mechanics-adapted revision of the legendary 1999 Delta Green: Countdown supplement.

Wyrd to release Index of the Untold, a campaign book for Malifaux’s fourth edition – The latest campaign book for Malifaux, which is now in its fourth edition.

The book includes 13 narrative scenarios and 20 non-player enemies, as well as a bunch of fiction. I do like that these books tend to push the story of Malifaux forward with each release; it’s definitely better than a stale, static setting.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
Heading back into DC @ Spalanz – Some fun to be had in here! Some print and play action, and a possible return to the DC Comics Deckbuilding Game, too. I actually got that to the table for the first time in ages, just recently.
Marvel Crisis Protocol tournament report: Street Level Negotiations 31May2026 @ The Bovine Overlord – Another fun MCP event writeup. Good games, good pics, good writeup. Good times!
Mind Stealer – C.L Werner @ Wordaholic Anonymous – Gotta love Thanquol. This Freaky Friday-esque Warhammer story sounds like a lot of fun.
Solar Funk @ Space-Biff – Conceptually, I like the idea of this game. Developing your ships sounds like it should be fun. Overall, however, the game does seem a bit lacklustre. I’m not the biggest fan of Galaxy Trucker, but I think I’d still choose that over this.
Archon Studio – Masters of the Universe Battleground: Wave 5 – Evil Warriors Faction: Webstor & Hover Robots @ Azazel’s Bitz Box – The robots are such fantastic miniatures with a lot of personality. They are also most definitely done justice here with these paint jobs. Fantastic stuff!
