It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop opens preorders for the 11th edition starter set for Warhammer 40,000 – As another new edition of Warhammer 40,000 rolls around, we’ve got another new starter box. Being the War for Armageddon, it does, of course, feature Orks:

Yeah, why not? I’m grabbing a copy. I’ll trade away the Space Marines for more Orks. It’s a nice set. Will I actually play it? Who knows! The two sets of Orks will also completely set back my target of buying less than I paint…

Snarling Badger releases Repent! Ye Foolish Gods – I love Snarling Badger! They make the best games that I’m always going to buy and am never going to play. Here’s their latest game:

Another fun-looking skirmish game. I like that, in addition to making your little cult, you are also encouraged to make a bigger model to represent your chosen God. Definitely a cool element, that. My print-on-demand copy is en route.

Wizkids releases Dungeons & Dragons: Builders of Baldur’s Gate – Builders of Baldur’s Gate turns the city into a competitive, three‑dimensional network‑builder where families expand businesses across nine districts, curry favour with the Council of Four, Flaming Fist, and Thieves’ Guild, and drop influence cubes into keeps, gates, and watchtowers as the city rises around them. It’s a sharp, tactical city‑builder with real table presence.

Monster incursions force uneasy alliances while every crisis becomes a chance to advance your own agenda, making each game a blend of clever placement, faction politics, and opportunistic timing. With chunky minis, district‑spanning networks, and constant pressure from the outer walls, it’s Baldur’s Gate at its most ambitious and cutthroat.

Free League releases Hands of the White Wizard for The One Ring – A Saruman-focused supplement for Free League’s The Lord of the Rings roleplaying game, The One Ring.

This book includes half a dozen adventures that revolve around the White Wizard Saruman in some way. Saruman is such an interesting character. He’s flawed, with his power and wisdom tempered by jealousy and pride. It’s cool to have a specific set of adventures that let you really engage with the character.

Devir releases their new board game, Gaudi – Gaudí turns the architect’s visionary style into a thoughtful, three‑pillar puzzle where players balance Nature, Catalonia, and Religion while crafting trencadís mosaics and climbing chimneys on their personal boards. Movement around the central chandelier drives every choice, making each round a tight dance of card play, tile selection, and careful scoring.

With its blend of pattern‑building, card timing, and a clever “lowest two scores count” system, Gaudí rewards harmony over excess as you shape your own mosaic of influences across three rounds. It’s a beautifully thematic design that aims to capture the spirit of Gaudí’s work.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
BBRS`Big Summer Project of 2026! @ bigbossredskullz – This is a fantastic post. It shows a bunch of previous projects and the planned Orks project. Lots of old minis in here, and kitbashes. It all looks so cool!
Taking stock of the long game @ LunarShadow Designs – I always love these reflective posts from LunarShadow Designs, which show the real numbers involved in independent RPG publishing. Always really interesting.
Actual Prep – Neil Gow’s Werewolf: The Apocalypse @ Burn After Running – I can be quite lazy with RPG prep. Not always, but sometimes. It’s always fun and motivating to read the prep that others have done for their games and campaigns. Werewolf is such a cool game, too.
Vale, John Blanche: A Celebration of Sorcery @ Plastic Craic – Lots of people did posts following the passing of John Blanche (including me), but I appreciated the very specific focus of this post. It stands out from the crowd for being so specific and personal.
Fallout Wasteland Warfare 2nd Edition Interview – UK Games Expo 2026 @ Sprues & Brews – I’ve put off buying into the Fallout miniatures game. I suppose that, by the time I was actually sold on the idea, we were already looking ahead to a new edition. I’ll be watching 2nd edition closely to see if I’ll be picking it up when it launches.
