The last big miniature of this batch of food-themed miniatures, the Piebomination is… heavy. Like, really heavy. An actual pie of the same size might be lighter than this solid block of resin.
I painted him up with a deslightful cherry filling:
Honestly, I’m not super happy with this. The crust turned out a bit rougher than I expected, and I’m not super delighted with the teeth. The cream and cherry are perfect, though. A little coat of gloss varnish was definitely needed to give the cherry that iconic shine.
Got one more little batch of minis to finish up this stage of the project… though I’m eyeing up some more miniatures to add in.
I think it’s brilliant! 🙂 I’ll never see cherry pie in the same light again!
Popped out to John O’Groats today for lunch and had a slice of cherry pie. Felt like victory.
