Tabletop juggernaut Asmodee have recently tweeted an image promoting current nd upcoming apps for mobile devices. The image promotes staple titles such as Small World, Pandemic and Ticket to Ride, along with an upcoming edition of beautifully illustrated card game, Onirim.
The interesting and surprising bit of this is in the other two upcoming games. Take a look:
Yeah, look, two World of Darkness themed apps for Mage: The Ascension and Vampire: The Masquerade (unsurprisingly Asmodee, a French company, uses the French spelling of ‘Mascarade’).
Curious. I wonder what form these will take? Hopefully something meaty and substantial, either as stand alone games or support apps for the tabletop RPGs.
I’ve been wondering for a while what World of Darkness will look like under Paradox, so it’s interesting to see they are farming out the IP. This is not necessarily a bad thing – the only decent games in the Warhammer 40,000 setting were created by Fantasy Flight Games, after all.
I look on with interest and enthusiasm!
