Black Reach, Troggs, TTS: This Week’s Hobby 13/02/22

Well, this week hasn’t been quite as productive as last week. I mean, I can’t finish off an army every week, can I? That should be a rhetorical question. Don’t answer it.

Please.

This week began with some building and priming. My after-school group expressed an interest in trying out some miniature painting. Great! I built some old Space Marines from the old Black Reach box and primed half of them in white and half in grey. I seem to be out of black spray.

I also primed all of my remaining Troggoths, namely 6 Rockguts and 3 Fellwaters. i also did the other models for my various Troggoth lists, including the three wolf riders that comprise Rippa’s Snarlfangs, and the two units I will ally in from the Kruleboyz, the Marshcrawla Sloggoth, and the Breaka Boss.

My intention to spend a big chunk of my weekend making some progress on the Troggoths was not met, largely because of some family arriving unexpectedly and staying for a few days. It was a nice reason, I suppose!

I’ve also been reorganising my hobby space. We’re looking a lot tidier than we have for quite some time. My desk is sitll a bit cluttered, but I’ll get that finished up this evening.

And that’s pretty much it for this week. it was nice to see some of the after-school group painting, and I’m glad I got some prep done. The week was just too busy to really get a big chunk of hobbying done. It was even too busy for me to attend game night, so I never got anything to the table, either.

I did take a wee bit of time today to put together some army lists for use on Tabletop Simulator. I’m still a bit frustrated that I can’t easily get a large game (2,000 points) of Age of Sigmar locally, so I’m looking for some people to play with on Tabletop Simulator. I put together the last 2K list I used:

I’d love to get these guys back to the table and try a few more lists as well. I just want to play some AoS, and that’s proving difficult to do at 2K.

Here’s hoping that I can get some painting done this week!
