This fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons continues to be a dominant player in the RPG community. It appears to be growing the market and attracting more players than ever before.
Some time ago, I posted about my wish for Wizards of the Coast to release updated editions of some classic D&D settings. There are so many really cool things that WotC can draw on from the history of the franchise and I love that they’ve started to do this. Of the four settings in the post, 2 have now been released (Eberron and Spelljammer) and another has been teased (Planescape). Unexpectedly (to me, at least) WotC is also releasing an updated edition of Dragonlance, a much-beloved campaign for many a player.
I’d really like to see them put out a new edition of Dark Sun, the one remaining suggestion from my original post. You can read the whole thing by clicking the link below:

I never played Dark Sun, as that was about the time I was getting out of D&D. I’d definitely take a look at it now though. I’m also hoping they will do a 5e Gamma World at some
point!

I’ve never played Gamma World and know very little about it. Kind of mutanty, innit?

Indeed! It was TSR’s post apocalyptic game which had rules for mutations. From what I’ve heard, the rules were a mess though. I did play one game where we investigated a ruined airport and it was a lot of fun.
