It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop releases the new Kill Team set, Terror on Devlan – Another Kill Team set. I’m not a fan of the release model for this game. FOMO box after FOMO box is a terrible way to produce a game. That said, there are some cool minis in here…

It’s clear that the highlight of this box is the Red Terror. That is one gorgeous Tyranid. I expect most people buying the box are really looking for this mini. Beautiful!

Candlenaut releases their solo RPG, Eldridge Horror – I’ve been talking a lot recently about solo RPGs. Some friends are recommending that I get over my aversion to them and try a few. Games like Eldridge Horror do make that a tempting prospect.

This is a surreal, Lovecraftian adventure that embraces the uncanny. You’ve returned from sea and nothing seems quite right. Your life is not as you left it, and that becomes more obvious as the game goes on. Could this be my first solo RPG?

The Army Painter to release a set of metallic Speed Paint Markers – I’ve still not tried any of these pens. I’m tempted to pick some up to try and perhaps record significant kills on the chassis of my Chaos Knights. That seems fun, and a good use for these pens.

The latest little set of pens is this metallic set. I like the metallics put out by The Army Painter. I’ve been using their metallic Speed Paints for ages, and I recently grabbed some of their Fanatic ones. I need to grab some pens to try out…

Cubicle 7 releases Carngrad Adventures, a campaign for Soulbound – Soulbound is fantastic. I’ve played a fair bit of it as heroes of Order, but have never tried it from the point of view of Chaos-aligned characters. Here’s a new campaign for those characters:

This is a campaign that weaves together four adventures. It includes a detailed guide to the city of Carngrad, complete with a map, and a whole bunch of new content, including endeavours, monsters, and more. Now, do I swear my allegiance to Nurgle or Tzeentch?

BANDAI is taking preorders on Gundam Assemble Starter Set 01 (ST01) – Oh, this is a big release! I’ve got folk at club who will be all over this. The Gundam Assemble Starter Set 01 (ST01) is the perfect on‑ramp into Bandai’s new tactical minis game, pairing iconic mobile suits with streamlined rules and everything two players need to hit the table fast. It’s a tight, accessible launch box that shows off the system’s fast turns, crisp sculpts, and classic Universal Century flavour.

With pre‑assembled units, scenario play, and a ruleset built for quick, decisive skirmishes, ST01 delivers a complete head‑to‑head experience straight out of the box. It’s a sharp starter for anyone wanting to dive into Gundam tabletop battles without a huge amount of hobby overhead.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
Whats On The Table? Porphyrion Knight! @ A Loft Full of Lead – I love the idea of printing up a Porphyrion Knight. They’re so cool and chunky. I love the heavily armoured look with those massive cannons.
Critical Role for All of Us: Finding Practical Tools in the Monolith @ Cannibal Halfling Gaming – This is a thoughtful look at Critical Role’s newest campaign and what everyday tables can borrow from it, from Brennan Lee Mulligan’s sharp narrative tools to encounter philosophy, character‑driven stakes, and the way different player impulses shape story.
Top Three AoS Lists for GT solo AoS Clermont Ferrand (Clermont- Ferrand Singles GT) @ Woehammer – The exciting thing in this post is the return of the Mancrusher-heavy list for Sons of Behemat. I have 12 Mancrushers, and a Mancrusher-heavy list was my favourite list of last edition. This list is not as cool as the old one, but I’d be up for giving it a go!
Blackstone Fortress: Rein and Raus @ Convert or Die – Ratlings! Great models. Great paintjob. And they look great with all of the other minis from the set.
Second Wave Custodes @ A Tabletop Gamer’s Diary – Lovely golden lads! The Custodes aren’t an army in which I am super interested, but the new stuff does look great. I love those gold patterns on the black panels.
