It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop releases a new Battletome for the Sons of Behemat – The Sons of Behemat were my primary army for events in third edition. I had a lot of fun with them. Now, they’re getting a pretty cool update for the latest edition:
The addition of mid-sized Gargants and a witch-like character are really appealing to me. I won’t be updating my army right away, but I will be updating them at some point with all these cool, new units and miniatures.

JonnyDM releases Kobolds & Kobolds, a Kobolds book about Kobolds for 5E. Kobolds… – I love kobolds. You probably love kobolds. Kobolds are great. Here’s a book about kobolds:
With themed magic items, clans, campaign ideas, art, and a big ol’ bestiary, this book looks to be a lot of fun, and very specific, too. Yeah, this just looks like a lot of fun.

Archon Studio to release a Protoss Starter Set for their Starcraft miniatures game – The Starcraft miniatures game does interest me. It looks fun, and I love Starcraft. I’m not quite convinced, though. I think that’s largely because I just doubt I’ll find players up here…
The Protoss set is particularly enticing. They’re my preferred faction in Starcraft, though I do love all three factions. Seeing the Protoss starter set does tempt me, though…

Fabrice Bouchet releases Occult France, a sourcebook for Call of Cthulhu – Let’s combine the horror of the Lovecraftian Mythos with horror of… The French…
Whilst Chaosium’s own France-based supplement focuses on the dark days of the Reign of Terror, this one instead looks at the interwar period in the 1920s. I like that it’s a completely different period and feel, so there shouldn’t be any real overlap between the two books.

Atelier Clandestin releases a Cyberpunk Hexsprawl Generator – This is a tiny little supplement that helps you to build the hexmap of a cyberpunk metropolis in constant expansion, with its districts, shady streets, and gang wars
Although a short booklet, there’s a lot content crammed in here. There’s stuff about gangs and crime, points of interest, streets and districts… There’s a little bit of art in here as well, but only a few pieces in all. It looks fun!

The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
Sons of Behemat Battletome Review – Warhammer Age of Sigmar 4th Edition @ Sprues & Brews – I’m not sure that I’m quite as optimistic as the author in regards to the overall state of the army, but it does look interesting. The Stomper Tribe is probably the thing that appeals most to me, as it’s closer to how I used to play the army.
New: Raid and Ruin @ Stalker7 – Patrick Todoroff puts out so many cool games and supplements. This is another good one, and with a bunch of cool minis in the post!
Variance and The Importance of Losing @ The Draft Doc – I cannot agree enough about importance of learning from our losses. This is a good, well thought-through post. Worth a read.
Sons of Behemat Boss-Stomper Contrast and Drybrush Painting Tips and Recipe Card @ Vincent Knotley — How Knot To Paint – I like Vincent Knotley’s style, and I like how to presents his tutorials. Firm recommendation!
BTMOM Project: The Miniatures @ the immortal frequentist – Oooh, pulpy miniatures! I love 7TV stuff. That game was full of such cool, thematic ideas. Cool ideas and cool minis make for a very cool post.
