It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Devir releases their new board game, Gaudi – Gaudí turns the architect’s visionary style into a thoughtful, three‑pillar puzzle where players balance Nature, Catalonia, and Religion while crafting trencadís mosaics and climbing chimneys on their personal boards. Movement around the central chandelier drives every choice, making each round a tight dance of card play, tile selection, and careful scoring.
With its blend of pattern‑building, card timing, and a clever “lowest two scores count” system, Gaudí rewards harmony over excess as you shape your own mosaic of influences across three rounds. It’s a beautifully thematic design that aims to capture the spirit of Gaudí’s work.

Parable Games to release SHIVER: Corporate – SHIVER: Corporate drags you into the nightmare world of Cornwell Consolidated, where workplace hazards include demons, aliens, cursed tech, and an A.I. Safety Squirrel with homicidal enthusiasm.
Packed with darkly comic adventures, bizarre departments, monstrous “co‑workers,” imperfect cloning rules, and tools to build your own doomed research facility, it’s SHIVER at its most chaotic, corporate, and catastrophically fun.

Archon Studio to release a Protoss Starter Set for their Starcraft miniatures game– The Starcraft miniatures game does interest me. It looks fun, and I love Starcraft. I’m not quite convinced, though. I think that’s largely because I just doubt I’ll find players up here…
The Protoss set is particularly enticing. They’re my preferred faction in Starcraft, though I do love all three factions. Seeing the Protoss starter set does tempt me, though…

Pink Hawk Games to release Pirate of the High Teas – Conceptually, I love this. Pirates of the High Teas looks to be a chaotic romp of swashbuckling etiquette, where crews duel over pastries, plunder, and teapots.
It’s all about balancing bold moves with refined manners. With clever card play and a wonderfully silly theme, it looks to be a light, breezy game.

Cubicle 7 releases a digital edition of their 5th edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay – This was a surprise release for me. I didn’t see it coming at all. I reckon I should have, though. Cubicle 7 have perhaps not been pushing this too hard?
As a long‑time fan of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, the new 5th Edition looks like less of a revolution and more like a slight reworking of fourth edition. I’ll be keen to take a look at some point to see what’s changed and what has not.

I ran D&D for 5 teenagers – and survived @ Burn After Running: RPG One-Shots – As someone who has been running weekly games for a rotating cast of teens since 2012, including online for a time during lockdown, this post is pretty accurate.
Anno Dracula @ Spalanz – I remember reading this book a few years ago. I largely agree with this review. Conceptually, it’s interesting, but the pacing is iffy and the whole thing just doesn’t quite work.
Top Three AoS Lists for the Tabled by Two GT @ Woehammer – Honestly, I’m mostly just sharing this one out of shock. The Kruleboyz won an event!
Review – Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game @ The Kind GM – I really enjoyed what I’ve played of the Avatar RPG. I think it’s a really good implementation of the PbtA system. This is a nice wee review that gets across the gist of the game.
System Hack: Dreadship @ Cannibal Halfling Gaming – You know what? I love Mothership. I love Dread. It had never occurred to me to combine them. Fantastic idea.
