It’s Friday, and here on No Rerolls that means it’s time for an all-new 5 on Friday. We’re going to start with 5 exciting releases for this week before moving on to our usual digest of some of our favourite articles from the past week. Of course, we’re slow readers, so don’t be surprised if there are some articles that are a little older – these are just some of the great articles we happen to have actually read in the past week.
Releases & Previews
Every week there are many games, books, and miniatures released. This will probably be a mix of previews, preorders, and releases, and with release dates being the way they are in this industry, it’s always pretty approximate. Excuses out of the way, here are 5 of the releases that caught our attention this week:
Games Workshop releases a new Cities of Sigmar battletome – The Cities of Sigmar army has gone from being a dumping ground for old miniatures to an actual, cohesive, visually unified force… and some old minis that are still kicking around for some reason. Here’s a new book:

I really love the aesthetic that was established for this army last edition, and in the subsequent fleshing out of the range this edition. The Cogforts are an excellent (if expensive) addition as well. It’s exciting to see the army really take shape, and the latest battletome is a big part of that journey.

Modiphius releases a set of rules for a Paranoia miniatures game – I like Paranoia a lot. It’s one of my favourite RPGs, and has been for a long time. I wasn’t a huge fan of the recent board game, which I found clunky, a little big ugly, and with a very unclear rulebook. Now, I wonder how the miniatures game plays:

The miniatures that were previously put out are actually really nice, and super characterful. I do have some hopes that the rules will be good, too. They’re written by the Five Parsecs From Home designers, which is definitely a big plus!

Archon Studio is taking preorders for their new Starcraft miniatures game – The Founders Edition two player starter set drops you straight into the Terran-Zerg war with premium components, exclusive early extras, and everything you need to hit the table fast. It’s a sleek, limited‑run launch box that showcases Archon’s sculpting and gives players a head start in the fight for the Koprulu sector.

Built as the definitive on‑ramp for the new StarCraft minis game, this set pairs two fully playable forces with terrain, rules, and founder‑only bonuses; a collector‑grade starter that doubles as a competitive core for anyone ready to command, swarm, or bunker down from day one.

Keith Baker releases a new Eberron supplement for the latest edition of D&D – Eberron is such a fun setting. I got rid of a lot of my older D&D books, but I kept the Eberron ones because I love Keith Baker’s setting. It’s great to see the latest supplement he’s putting out:

Some 259 pages of content? Yes, please! It’s more Eberron, led by the original creator. I love exploring this setting, and it’s always great to see it being further and further fleshed out. Delightful!

Modiphius is taking preorders for a new, Battle for Boston-themed starter set for Fallout Factions – The upcoming Battle for Boston boxed set pushes Fallout Factions into full urban‑warfare mode, framing the Commonwealth as a tight, contested battleground where faction identity actually matters: Brotherhood discipline, Minutemen improvisation, and Institute precision all colliding across ruined streets and half‑collapsed landmarks. It feels like a snapshot of the setting at its most volatile.

New sculpts, streamlined force‑building, and a scenario arc built around control of the city make this a clean on‑ramp for new players and a sharp thematic hook for veterans. It seems to be a boxed set that understands Boston is more than just a backdrop; it’s the fight.

Blog Posts & Articles
The meat of 5 on Friday, the articles are listed in no particular order, so let’s get into some recommendations:
Bundle of Dyson! @ Dyson’s Dodecahedron – I’ve followed this blog for a long time and really love their maps. I missed the bundle first time around, and it’s great to see it being revisited so that more folk can have a go with it.
Ninja Rats – the New Clan Eshin @ A Tabletop Gamer’s Diary – Eshin has been long overdue for a bit of attention from GW, and it was worth the wait. The new miniatures look great, especially when beautifully painted, as they are in this post.
3D Printed Human Scale Bolt Pistols @ Azazel’s Bitz Box – These are stunning. I missed the previous post about Boltguns, so going back to look at those is also really cool. I think that I prefer the look/proportions of the pistols. Fantastic!
Horizon Station Kickstarter Review – Dark Fantastic Mills @ Sprues & Brews – I really like Dark Fantastic Mills. I’ve played a few games at events over their terrain, and have seen them at a couple of shows. It’s great to see them fleshing out their range and becoming a bit more ambitious in their offerings.
Top Three AoS Lists for the NZ Masters 2026 @ Woehammer – Oh, I like this Slaves to Darkness list! There are some bits and pieces for this army in my queue, and it wouldn’t take a huge amount of effort to build towards it. Worth considering, I reckon.

Catch you next week!

A Paranioa mini’s game sounds fun… interested to hear some reviews. I played a lot of Starcraft – been following some of the info on the board game. The figures look great. At that price though, I won’t be playing it.
Thanks for the shout out! That Slaves to Darkness list is probably one of the more fun ones we’ve featured recently
