I shared some thoughts on how an edition change for D&D might shake out, given the much wider, and newer, audience that 5E had garnered. I offer up what I think WotC would encounter in terms of pushback and a lack of acceptance.
I predicted something of an edition was, and some really entrenched players that would be reluctant to move on.
In hindsight, I was kind of wrong. Kind of. WotC ultimately went with a very soft edition change that felt more like a revised edition. As such, many of my claims were irrelevant.
They were possibly hyperbole, anyway.
